Diana Artemis Tsantekidou, known as RTMIS, is a multidisciplinary artist and designer based between Berlin and Thessaloniki.
She creates objects, furniture, interiors and installations shaped by material, structure, and an intuitive sense of form.
Born in the Urals and raised in Greece between the mountains and the sea, she carries a Pontian Greek lineage that reaches back to Trebizond. That story of movement, of homes left and homes rebuilt, runs through her work: memory, cultural roots, and the quiet question of what makes a place feel like belonging. She is the founder of Atmosyne, an interior and object design studio built on a single belief. What stays with people is never the room itself, but the atmosphere it holds: the light at a particular angle, the weight of silence in a well-proportioned space. Memory, not decoration. Her path has never followed one line. She trained first as a musician at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, then studied experimental design at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts, and completed her Master’s in Textile and Surface Design at the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin. She later went on to study interior design in Moscow. For about ten years she worked as an art director alongside installation artists across Europe, realising large-scale works for museums. She has also worked in fashion and taught aesthetics to architecture students. Her own artistic practice moves between natural materials, hand weaving, and interactive and sound installations. Stone, fibre, plaster and light are her vocabulary. Her Greek heritage is present in all of it: a feeling for raw material, for warmth held in stone, for spaces that carry time rather than resist it. She does not separate art from design. To her they are the same act of attention, one that begins with listening and ends with something that belongs.
